Location: South England - some time will be needed onsite
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Technical Data Migration Lead to support a major transformation from SAP to Oracle Fusion (ERP, HCM, and Payroll).
This role is hands‑on and technically focused. The successful candidate will take ownership of the end‑to‑end data migration lifecycle, working closely with internal IT teams and the System Integrator (SI) to ensure a high‑quality, controlled migration.
This is not a purely governance or reporting role. We are looking for someone who understands the full technical picture and can oversee, challenge, and guide delivery effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the end‑to‑end data migration lifecycle
, including: - Data extraction from legacy systems (SAP strongly preferred)
- Data analysis, cleansing, and transformation
- Data mapping to Oracle Fusion (ERP, HCM, Payroll)
- Migration cycles, validation, and defect resolution
- Technical reconciliation and sign‑off processes
- Cutover planning and execution support
- Act as the client‑side technical lead for data migration
- Work closely with the System Integrator (SI) to:
- Validate migration approach and tooling
- Ensure mappings and transformation logic are robust
- Challenge and review technical deliverables
- Maintain quality and alignment to business requirements
- Coordinate across IT, functional, and business teams
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies relating to migration
- Ensure documentation, controls, and governance are in place
- Provide structured oversight without being purely PMO‑driven
- Strong experience delivering SAP to Oracle Fusion data migrations
- Deep understanding of:
- Oracle Fusion ERP
- Oracle Fusion HCM
- Oracle Fusion Payroll (highly desirable)
- Proven experience across the full data migration lifecycle
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Legacy system extraction (SAP preferred)
- Data mapping and transformation design
- Migration cycles and reconciliation
- Technical validation and data quality controls
- Experience working alongside and managing System Integrators
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across IT and business functions
- Technically credible, detail‑oriented, and delivery‑focused
- Migration from multiple legacy systems
- Complex payroll environments (multi‑country advantageous)
- Data governance and compliance experience
- Strong technical migration specialist with coordination capability
- Comfortable operating between technical teams and senior stakeholders
- Able to challenge constructively and ensure quality delivery
- Available immediately for a 6‑month contract (with potential extension)
