Position: Business Analyst / Dadansoddwr Busnes

Reporting to the Technology Portfolio Manager, you will work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation to undertake full evaluation and analysis of business processes and systems. You will identify where existing constraints or inefficiencies exist, and proactively design and recommend solutions that deliver meaningful improvements. You will gain a deep understanding of how systems and processes connect and overlap, identifying areas of waste and hand‑offs, and helping to redefine workflows that support better service delivery to our residents.

Part of your responsibilities will include producing clear, high‑quality documentation, contributing to change management efforts, and collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to explore and understand technical capabilities and constraints. Being a strong communicator is key who can build positive relationships across the organisation and beyond, adapting your approach to suit different audiences. You'll be expected to provide a high quality, friendly, and customer‑orientated service, always demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

We are looking for a Business Analyst with a demonstrable track record of managing and delivering change and delivering IT and technology solution. We are looking for someone who brings a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and a strong customer focus.

Key Qualifications
  • Proven experience of undertaking the responsibilities of a Business Analyst.
  • A strong customer‑focused and empathetic approach to working with people.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing your workload effectively and making sound decisions to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the self‑awareness to tailor your approach to different audiences.
  • A solid understanding of software development and a proven ability to define system and software solutions.
  • Experience working with stakeholders and operational staff to gather requirements, develop strategy, and translate needs into actionable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create designs and specifications based on requirements.
  • Experience in documenting business processes, wireframes, user stories, and specifying requirements using a variety of methods.
  • A track record of managing and delivering change within an organisation, supported by clear and concise documentation and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft enterprise solutions, particularly Dynamics, SharePoint, and Workflow software, along with specialist knowledge of hardware and software used across common platforms including Azure Dev Ops and Visio.
