Position: L&D Operations Coordinator (Part Time)

Capital Law is a growing commercial law firm. We work with clients across the UK and internationally, providing high quality services to the private, public and third sectors. With a focus on delivering exceptional services to our clients, we foster an environment where our employees can thrive, grow and make a real impact.

The Role

We’re looking for an L&D Operations Coordinator to provide the operational backbone for learning and development across the Firm on a part time basis (19 hours per week) based in Cardiff.

You’ll own the day‑to‑day running of our learning systems, compliance reporting and learning logistics — ensuring activity is accurate, well organised and managed in line with agreed standards. Your work enables L&D specialists to focus on capability building, confident that the operational environment is running smoothly.

Key Requirements

Learning operations and coordination

  • Coordinate learning logistics including scheduling, invitations, room bookings and virtual delivery setup
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, completion and evaluation for organisation‑wide learning
  • Oversee the operational delivery of mandatory training, including enrolments, reminders and completion tracking
  • Provide operational coordination for leadership, behavioural and technical programmes within the agreed scope

LMS administration

  • Own the day‑to‑day operation of the LMS, ensuring content, user groups and reporting remain accurate and up to date
  • Upload new content, manage user access and configure courses in line with agreed standards
  • Design, run and interpret LMS reports on compliance, participation and progression, escalating risks or anomalies where needed
  • Respond to learner system queries, resolving issues within system permissions or escalating appropriately

Induction support

  • Coordinate induction logistics so new colleagues are invited, scheduled and set up for success
  • Ensure new starters receive access to required systems, onboarding materials and mandatory learning
  • Deliver or coordinate essential IT systems training for new starters (e.g. LMS navigation and basic digital tools)
  • Maintain induction resources and ensure they remain accurate and current

Operational reporting, communications and digital learning support

  • Produce clear, accurate and timely operational reports for L&D and stakeholders
  • Use learning and compliance data to identify patterns, risks or issues and recommend appropriate adjustments
  • Draft clear communications about learning opportunities, reminders and updates
  • Maintain accurate L&D information across the intranet, LMS and Share Point
  • Support the rollout of digital learning resources and maintain a structured library of learning assets
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in L&D operations, HR operations or a similar structured role
  • Enjoy owning systems, processes and data accuracy
  • Are confident using digital tools and learning platforms
  • Value clarity, reliability and predictable ways of working
  • Stay organised and calm when coordinating multiple moving parts
  • Spot risks or anomalies in data and elevate them appropriately
  • Communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency in day‑to‑day operations
