Runner, Bargain - BBC Studios

Bargain Hunt is BBC One's long-running daytime antiques series, broadcast almost every day of the year and regularly attracting over 2 million viewers. The Cardiff-based team produces 96 new episodes annually, including a range of special episodes.

• Supporting the production team on location, in the office and in post-production.
• Supporting the team on location and acting as a point of contact for contributors, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
• Assisting with casting and contributor liaison when required.

The role involves regular filming on location, with stays away of up to two nights at a time. On return from shoots, runners are required to return to base to offload equipment before travelling home. A flexible approach to working hours is therefore essential.

This role requires an experienced and confident driver. Applicants must:

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Be eligible to drive BBC-issued vehicles under the BBC's insurance policy.
• Be confident driving a van to filming locations across the UK.
• Previous van driving experience is not essential; however, applicants must be confident and capable drivers, comfortable travelling long distances nationwide.

• Experience working as a runner on location.
• Experience working in a production office.
• Experience dealing with contributors, talent and members of the public.
• Familiarity with broadcast technical equipment.
