We are looking for a skilled and driven
Senior Delivery Manager to support the delivery of a targeted Lung Cancer Screening with integrated smoking cessation Service for Wales. Lung cancer is the third most common type of cancer in Wales but is by far the leading cause of cancer deaths. This pivotal role will ensure the digital delivery of this high-impact new public service to time, within scope, and aligned to strategic and operational priorities.
You will apply agile methodologies across multiple work streams facilitating ceremonies, coaching teams, and fostering collaborative, adaptable ways of working. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, senior leaders, and external partners to help shape an effective, future-ready screening service.

Main duties of the jobFacilitate the effective digital delivery of the service, combining agile methodologies with other project management approaches to work seamlessly across the Programme. Coordinate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring team collaboration and alignment with programme delivery milestones.
Develop and maintain delivery plans, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure timely reporting to relevant stakeholders and key delivery partners. Act as a key contact for stakeholders, translating complex digital concepts into accessible language and promoting transparency across teams.
Coach and mentor cross-functional teams to embed agile practices, encourage self-organisation, and promote a culture of responsiveness and high performance.
Manage delivery documentation, budgets, and ensure compliance with NHS governance and information standards. Support change processes and stakeholder engagement through clear communication and structured implementation.

What You Have to Offer
A strong communicator and influencer with a passion for coaching high-performing teams. Skilled at working across complex environments involving multiple stakeholders particularly in healthcare or the public sector. Comfortable managing multiple priorities, risks, and team dynamics. Practical experience in leading delivery.
