Overview
This role provides professional administrative and secretarial support to the Surveillance Intelligence Unit (SIU). It is part of the SIU Surveillance Management Team that contributes to the smooth running of the SIU and the development, implementation, and delivery of scanning surveillance by APHA and non-APHA partners in Great Britain. The role is part-time, working 14.8 hours a week, with flexibility on the working pattern to be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate.
Responsibilities- Provide support to key administrative and business functions underpinning the smooth running of the SIU, including processing procurement requests and invoice payments, and auditing requests and payments as required.
- Draft and edit reports and documents.
- Organise documentation, ensure papers are available for meetings prior to attendance, mindful of document version control and quality standards.
- Monitor emails and calendars as part of a team rota, and take appropriate measures to ensure all actions are undertaken in a timely manner.
- Interrogate various databases and bespoke information/management systems to support the development, analysis, and delivery of scanning surveillance activities.
- Work with senior managers, colleagues from across APHA, and people from outside APHA.
- Use bespoke APHA surveillance data systems.
