Senior Occupational Health Specialist Practitioner

Overview

To assist and support the Head of Employee Health and Wellbeing Services as part of a multidisciplinary team in the coordination, provision and delivery of an effective high-quality Occupational Health service, providing specialist advice and clinical services to the managers and staff of Cardiff and Vale (CAV) University Health Board / Cwm Taf Morgannwg (CTM) University Health Board. Primarily this post will meet the needs of the Health Board;

however it may also cover a wide range of clients from both public and private sectors. The post holder will operate within a collaborative working model which encompasses both CAV and CTM University Health Boards with a requirement to work across all Occupational Health sites where required, and may also provide a service to external organisations as directed. The post holder will work directly with clients to provide a comprehensive Occupational Health Service and will undertake all aspects of line management in relation to the Occupational Health nursing team as part of the collaborative model.

• Provide specialist advice and clinical services as part of the Occupational Health service for managers and staff across partner Health Boards and external organisations as required.
• Coordinate, deliver and ensure high-quality Occupational Health services within a collaborative model spanning multiple sites.
• Work directly with clients to provide comprehensive Occupational Health support.
• Undertake all aspects of line management for the Occupational Health nursing team within the collaborative framework.
• Collaborate across CAV and CTM University Health Boards and across all Occupational Health sites as required.
