A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

Two personal assistants are required for an elderly gentleman living in Llanishen. He has Alzheimer’s and will require support with some personal care in the mornings and for social calls. He enjoys listening to music and going out for walks.

• 30 minutes every morning to shower everyday and shave twice a week
• Take Stephen out in the community
• 2 hours out on Monday
• 3.5 hours out on Thursday
• 3 hours out on Saturday
• 40 minutes each way to drop to spectrum on Wednesday (mileage included)

£14.80 an hour & up to 15 miles p/w @ 41p per mile

• Support with morning routine- showering everyday and shaving twice a week
• Support out in the community to planned activities through the week
• Ensure his safety at all times
• Transport calls on a Wednesday, for PA to take him to Spectrum centre and ensure he is in there, settled and safe; then go back to centre later to pick him up and return home.

• Someone with dementia/Alzheimer’s experience is desirable but not essential
• Car driver is essential
• Reliable, dependable, punctual, adaptable and committed
• Resilient and confident

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you. Support cannot be carried out in the personal assistant’s own home.
