JobOverview
This registered nurse role ensures and maintains professional standards within the invasive cardiology clinical area, using the competency framework in line with NMC standards and statutory requirements. The nurse will work with an inter‑professional team to provide care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, and to support the 24‑hour on‑call service for cardiac emergencies. The role also involves supporting a developing nurse‑led Cardiac Day‑Case Unit.
Welsh competency:
Ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not required; applicants who speak Welsh and English are equally welcome.
- Practice in line with NMC codes of conduct and organisational standards.
- Deliver patient care in the invasive cardiology unit, including diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Support the 24‑hour on‑call service for cardiac emergencies.
- Assist in the operation of the nurse‑led Cardiac Day‑Case Unit.
- Collaborate with the inter‑professional team to provide comprehensive, patient‑centred care.
- Research and audit
- Infection control
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Newly qualified or qualified within the last 2 years
- NMC registration
- Evidence of CPD activity
- Degree level qualification
