JOB DESCRIPTION

Personal Assistant

I am a young boy living in the Fairwater area of Cardiff. I am adventurous and I like to try new things. I have Autism and because of this I have no awareness of danger. I will need a 2:1 support who can keep me safe. I like to keep to my daily routine and will need two personal assistants who will understand this.

We are looking for two personal assistants to support taking me out in the community so I can meet new people. This will allow me to develop my socialising skills and access activities I enjoy.

Home and in the community.

9 hours term time

12 hours school holidays

2:1 support

£14.85 per hour

• Encouraging me to use the toilet
• Take me out in the community and ensure I am safe
• Keep me occupied and engaged in activities

• Has an understanding of Autism

Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A probation period will be necessary in the first instance. Wages will be paid 4 weekly. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
