Support Worker - Marshfield, Cardiff – Hourly Rate £12.60 to £12.80
• Full Time 40.25 hours per week

The Old Vicarage provides a warm and welcoming home for up to 10 adults aged 18 and above. Nestled in the tranquil rural setting of Marshfield near Newport, our residence offers a spacious and comfortable environment. Each room features an ensuite bathroom, and residents have access to large communal areas, laundry facilities, and well-equipped kitchens. Outside, our gardens provide space for relaxation and enjoyment.

• Ensure residents’ physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment
• Support individuals during recreational activities, outings and community integration
• Promote independence, self-esteem and confidence, celebrating residents’ achievements and milestones
• Work with the team to tailor support to individual needs
• Keep accurate records of activities, progress and incidents when they arise
• General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation

• A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
• Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs
• A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team
• Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication
• Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts
• A driving licence is not essential, but would be advantageous

Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
