Located just a few miles outside Cardiff, South Wales, Priory Hospital Cardiff supports the NHS by offering low secure services for males and females with a personality disorder, a learning disability or a mental health diagnosis. Care is provided across three bespoke therapeutic placements (BTPs), each offering specialist, tailored treatment in the least restrictive environment possible.
Main duties of the jobYou will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Registered Mental Health, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
- Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
- Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
- Evaluate and respond to changes in patients condition and needs.
- Deal proactively and effectively with suggestions and complaints from patients and their families / carers

Job responsibilitiesPriory Hospital Cardiffis looking to recruit a RMN/RNLD to join the team. Low secure 4 beds, male and females, 18+. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours a week.
Person Specification Requirements- We are looking for a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6-12 months post-registration experience, active NMC registration, and completion of a preceptorship programme. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NMC guidelines and professional practices, evidence of ongoing professional development, and a positive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and quality.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
