The role of the Programme Manager will be to directly manage the Programme Office team as delegated. Ensure that all Programme and Project resources are prioritised and appropriately utilised within the service to ensure the maximum delivery of benefits. Strategically plan and align projects within the service to deliver organisational objectives that support delivery of the overarching Integrated Medium Term Plan (IMTP).
The post holder will be required to lead the Programme Management team to drive and support the delivery of key programmes and projects across a varied and complex range of work programmes in a highly regulated environment. Work in close collaboration with the wider Business Support Unit and Service Improvement team to ensure work programmes are aligned to the strategic aims.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the robust design, planning and implementation of programmes of work, liaising with the lead subject matter expert and co-ordinating with other specialist contributors. This will involve prioritisation and co-ordination of a complex range of factors.
Deputise for the Head of Programmes and Service Improvement
Main duties of the jobAct as a change agent, working collaboratively across teams, services and the system to deliver transformation projects/ work streams ensuring that all projects/ work streams are underpinned by effective project planning, communication and engagement, monitoring and evaluation, risk management and escalation processes.
Be a credible ambassador and role model for transformation, development and improvements in quality and patient safety, offering expertise and experience to relevant stakeholders to inform, engage and influence new, innovative solutions and ways of working.
Act as deputy to the Head of Programmes and Service Improvement and be responsible for direct line management of a portfolio team.
Ensure that Programme and Project resources are prioritised and appropriately utilised within the service to ensure the maximum delivery of benefits.
Work as part of the Project Management Office to support the development and delivery of key projects. Be able to define and shape projects/ programmes, establish clear visions and effectively engagement and communicate plans

- Educated to relevant Master's Degree level or equivalent experience.
- Prince 2 and MSP or equivalent experience
- Experience of leading and delivery projects within a programme
- Good stakeholder / communication
- Experience with in a Programme Management Office
- Worked in NHS
- Evidence of continued professional development
