516 Female Personal Assistant to Adult

Employer: Dewis Centre for Independent Living

Location: Llandaff North, Cardiff

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 24‑hour care package broken into four shift categories. Part‑time shift options include:

• Saturday 18:00 – 13:00 (next day)
• Sunday (including overnight)
• Monday 18:00 – 22:00
• Wednesday 18:00 – 22:00
• Relief staff on an ad‑hoc basis for sickness, annual leave, and overtime

Additional Pay: Bank holidays are paid at 1.5× the normal hourly rate.

Driving: A valid full driving licence for a manual vehicle is essential.

Task Overview:

• Provide meals, drinks, and snacks (breakfast, lunch)
• Assist with washing, cleaning, and domestic tasks
• Support with personal care and maintain privacy and confidentiality
• Administer medication (training will be provided)
• Assist with manual handling and transfers (training will be provided)

• Enjoys cinema and television
• Not easily offended
• Comfortable with technology (iPad, iPhone, Windows PC, Amazon Alexa and Smart TV)
