47‑year‑old lady living in Llandaff, Cardiff requires a personal assistant to support her with daily tasks.

She has Fibromyalgia that mainly affects both legs and her lower back. Her mobility is limited and she is in a lot of pain. She has good and bad days, so the level of support required will depend on how she is feeling that day. She is unable to leave the house, as there is no stair lift or access for her, so support will be required within her home.

• Morning call – 7am – 1 hour
• Lunch call – 1pm – 30 minutes
• Tea time – 5pm – 30 minutes
• Bed time – 8pm – 45 minutes

TOTAL: 2.75 hours per week

£14 per hour

• Personal care & continence care – showering, dressing/undressing, applying cream to legs and back
• Meal preparation
• Light domestic tasks

• Driving licence not required

Though a part‑time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check, which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
