We are looking for a dedicated Band 6/7 Locum Autism Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Beechwood, a purpose-built residential college for young people aged 16 to 25 with autism spectrum condition or Asperger syndrome. In this role, you will provide specialized speech and language therapy services tailored to the unique needs of our students. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance communication skills, support social interactions, and promote overall well‑being among students.

Your role will involve assessing individual needs, developing personalized intervention plans, and delivering evidence‑based therapy sessions in a supportive environment.

As a Band 6/7 Locum Autism Speech and Language Therapist, you will deliver high‑quality physiotherapy services within the community setting. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive assessments of patients, developing and implementing tailored treatment plans, and providing rehabilitation interventions to support their recovery. You will manage a diverse caseload, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care delivery. Your responsibilities also include maintaining accurate patient records, contributing to team meetings, and ensuring adherence to clinical governance standards.

The position requires effective communication skills to educate and support patients and their families throughout their rehabilitation journey.

• General acute speech and language therapy experience
• Experience providing input for individuals with autism spectrum condition
• Relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility to adapt interventions to meet diverse needs
• Commitment to professional development and best practices in the field
