Are you ready to inspire the next generation of pharmacists? Are you passionate about education and training, mentorship and supervising others?
We are looking for dynamic and forward-thinking Pharmacists to join the pharmacy Training & Development team at Cardiff and Vale UHB.
If you are passionate about helping others to grow and develop, and also want to advance your own leadership skills, this could be the perfect role. You will work with the pharmacy training and development team to design, deliver and support training and to provide educational supervision to both pharmacy undergraduates, trainee pharmacists and members of staff within pharmacy and the wider MDT.
These posts will be pivotal in advancing our undergraduate placement scheme and embedding prescribing into the foundation pharmacist training year within CAVUHB.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post;

- Under the direction of the lead pharmacist for training and workforce development, to be responsible for the development and delivery of pharmacy education and training programmes within CAVUHB.
- To facilitate and deliver training for undergraduate pharmacy students, trainee pharmacists and post-registration foundation level pharmacists.
- To develop and deliver training for other healthcare professionals.
- To develop Pharmacy practice-based research within the department.
- To provide managerial and pastoral care for pharmacy students and trainee pharmacists.

Person Specification Qualifications- MPharm or MSc pharmacy degree
- GPhC registration
- Post-graduate MSc/Diploma or equivalent post-registration foundation qualification (or within 6 months)
- Independent prescribing qualification (or within 12 months)
- Member of Royal Pharmaceutical Society
- Sufficient broad post-registration experience of working in a clinical pharmacy role
- Meets GPhC's requirements for Designated Supervisors (or within 12 months)
- Experience of supervising others
- Experience of delivering training
- Teaching & mentoring skills
- Positive attitude to change, motivated, able to work as part of a team, innovative & well organised
- Emotional resilience
- Commitment to self-development
- Ability to give constructive negative feedback and have difficult conversations
