Support Worker (Female) Wanted – Lisvane, Cardiff

week 2 – 28 hours (over two days)
You will be working with a lady in her thirties who has cerebral palsy in her own home and in the Cardiff area. This client lives with her husband, cat and dog and likes to live a full and active lifestyle.
Your role will involve all personal & domestic care, as well as supporting her to attend and participate in a wide range of activities, including the gym/boxing and caring for her cat and dog. The client has a strong interest in art, completes head painting and runs regular market stalls; you would be assisting with these activities.
Responsibilities- Provide personal & domestic care to the client.
- Support the client to attend gym, boxing and other activities.
- Assist the client in caring for her cat and dog.
- Help the client with her art activities, including head painting and market stalls.
- Previous experience of supporting people.
- Full driving licence.
- Registered or able to register with Social Care Wales.
- Hold a recognised Health and Social Care qualification (NVQ Level 2 or a Diploma)
OR have completed the All-Wales Induction Framework OR be willing to complete within 6 months. - Competent IT skills desirable.
- Full enhanced disclosure from DBS required; registration with DBS Update Service.
- £15.00 per hour weekdays.
- £16.15 per hour weekends.
- £13.16 per hour Weekday night / Sleep rate.
- £13.70 per hour Weekend night / Sleep rate.
- Bank holidays time and a half.
