About the job

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team as a Planner (Placemaking - Policy/Projects).

You will be part of a team of outstanding, and very friendly, officers who are committed to delivering the highest quality of development and making Cardiff a truly excellent city.

What We Are Looking For From You Responsibilities
  • To provide land use policy and public realm advice to Development Management officers and to work with other Service Areas (departments) to assist in the delivery of placemaking policies and projects; with a particular focus on the city centre and bay areas.
  • To undertake the monitoring of development activity and infrastructure delivery and promote this information to stakeholders.
  • To assist in the preparation and review of land use policy and public realm design policy/guidance and to promote these to stakeholders.
