The Pricing Manager/Financial Modelling Manager will play a key role in developing and managing financial models to support decision‑making processes within this utilities business. This role in Cardiff requires a strong background in accounting and finance, combined with advanced analytical skills.

DescriptionThis is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Accountant with excellent financial modelling experience.
The role will have overall responsibility for setting the Tariffs that the organisation charges its customers.
The role is in a highly regulated sector and will have to develop both internal and external relationships.
The role will include:
- Acting as a company expert on all matters regarding pricing tariffs across the business.
- Accountable for the management and implementation of the tariff setting programme.
- Accurate charges modelling to ensure that charges are set to recover relevant costs.
- Ensure that data used to inform the setting of tariffs is prepared, assured and submitted in a timely, professional and effective manner.
- Develop and implement effective project management and governance functions to support the timely delivery of the tariff schemes.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders and work with them to drive effective processes and policies in support of price setting.
A Successful Financial Modelling Manager Should Have
- A strong academic background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- An accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience in a similar role within a regulated body.
- Experience of pricing or similar price‑setting modelling.
- Advanced Excel and data skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to take initiative and work independently as well as collaborate within a team.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Salary £68,000 per annum.
- Permanent position based in Cardiff.
- Hybrid working.
- Bonus up to 10%.
- 33 days annual leave (pro rata, including public holidays).
