The Transport business is undergoing a significant period of change supported by a strategic programme to migrate legacy customer platforms to new cloud‑based systems. At the same time the Transport industry faces significant economic and market challenges with the transition to electric and recent uncertainty in the used car market. Finance plays a vital role in helping the business achieve its goals, and our Transport Reporting and Development team is at the centre of this partnership.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
  • Fully own Lex Autolease financial reporting, including delivery of monthly financial results and supporting analysis. Consult on inputs/assumptions with regard to Flash and QxF activity.
  • Deliver quarterly external reporting and support colleagues in delivering statutory legal‑entity reporting.
  • Support the Finance Business Partnering Team in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of monthly management accounts and the quarterly Investor Relations pack.
  • Ensure the team operates within the Group’s financial control framework; take ownership of reviewing and signing off monthly reconciliations and attestations.
  • Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with key collaborators across Transport and the wider Retail Finance community.
  • Contribute to development, learning and process improvement within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Actively pursue personal growth by enhancing performance and developing skills and capabilities.
  • Provide line management for three D‑grade colleagues.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across both Transport and Retail Finance.
What You’ll Need
  • Ideally a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and natural leadership capabilities.
  • Highly collaborative, able to work across multiple finance teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A curious mindset with an eye for process improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, using experience to address critical risks, issues and dependencies and ensuring resolution within agreed timescales.
  • Demonstrate the right values and behaviours and encourage these in team members.
Additional Experience That Would Be Useful
  • Ability to use/interrogate Oracle FDSF/Fusion and ARCS.
  • Understanding of Transport products.
  • Ability to use Power Query/BI.
