Overview

Supporting the Financial Controller in managing the full accounts function and overseeing all financial activities across the business, ensuring accurate reporting, sound financial management, and informed decision‑making.

• Support the Financial Controller in overseeing the Accounts Department and overall financial operations.
• Manage a small team of three, including delegation, workload management, training, and technical guidance.
• Assist in preparing financial statements under UK GAAP and support year‑end processes, including liaising with external auditors.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly management accounts, debtor reporting, and weekly cashflow forecasts.
• Oversee effective cash management to maximise interest on surplus funds.
• Develop and maintain accounting systems, policies, and procedures to support the business's growth.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the Financial Controller and wider finance team as required.

• Maintain and enhance accounting systems, policies, and procedures to support the growing needs of the business.
• Provide technical support to the finance team and wider staff.
• Perform additional ad‑hoc duties as required by the Financial Controller.
