We have an opportunity to join our Transactional Finance team as a Cash manager in our head office in Swindon. In this role you will manage a team of two and be responsible for transacting payment runs, completing daily allocation and reconciliation of bank transactions and maintain reporting on the cash transactional processing. The Cash Manager will contribute to continuous improvements in processes, procedures, and controls to support the team to deliver a high-quality service to the wider business.

We can offer hybrid working, with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of two overlooking the following:
    • Complete daily GBP and USD bank downloads and reconciliations.
    • Reconciliation of card payments and Pay‑Pal accounts.
    • Ensure all cash payments and receipts in the GBP bank accounts are recorded correctly in the SAGE accounting system.
    • On‑line payment processing and bi‑weekly payment run submission to the bank.
    • Month end reporting for cash.
    • Daily administration of the finance post plus scanning and distribution of other correspondence to departments.
    • Dealing with telephone and email enquiries from internal and external customers. Taking ownership of query resolution, providing support to the team/s and appropriate escalation where necessary.
    • Support improvement of standard operating procedures.
    • Provide cover within the transactional finance team at busy times as required.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience managing a team is essential
  • Must have cash payment experience with bank reconciliations
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to work accurately with financial information.
  • Ability to work to prescribed deadlines and in accordance with defined processes, timetables and agreed service levels.
  • Computer literate including MS Excel.
  • Ability to liaise closely with other colleagues, building and maintaining good relationships.
  • Experience in a high-volume/large dataset environment and/or similar role within a finance department would be beneficial.
  • Experience of ERP systems would be beneficial.
