Are you a hands‑on Management Accountant or an Assistant Management Accountant looking to progress into a Management Accountant. This role will take ownership of the finance function within a successful, growing SME. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Cardiff, where you’ll report into the Financial Controller as their key finance partner.

The Management Accountant plays a critical role in providing accurate financial information and analysis to support operational and strategic decision‑making. In a manufacturing environment, this position focuses on cost control, budgeting, and performance monitoring to ensure profitability and efficiency across production processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintenance of Cash Book, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Fixed Asset Register
• Supplier Statement Reconciliations and issuing Customer Statement
• Preparation and posting of the monthly journals
• Preparation of trial balance at month end ensuring all appropriate profit & loss, Accruals & Prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations are performed
• Assisting with variance analysis and system reconciliations / analysis
