Position: Paraplanner - hybrid working

We are working with a highly successful, Chartered and fully independent financial planning practice in the centre of Cardiff to recruit an additional Paraplanner. Our client is known for delivering truly independent, client-centric financial advice. The team provides comprehensive wealth management, investment and financial planning services to both private and corporate clients across the local region and wider UK.

As a Paraplanner, you will provide high-quality technical support to advisers and play a key role in reviewing investment portfolios, preparing suitability reports and conducting in-depth research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support advisers with technical analysis and preparation following client meetings.
  • Interpret and analyse client data to develop appropriate financial planning solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth product, platform and investment research.
  • Prepare clear, tailored suitability reports, illustrations and key documentation.
  • Assist with investment research, compliance checks and file reviews.
  • Maintain high standards aligned with Consumer Duty requirements.
Requirements
  • Ideally Level 4 Diploma qualified, or near completion.
  • Experience working in a similar position as a Paraplanner.
  • Strong technical understanding of investments and platforms (Aberdeen & Aegon ARC desirable).
  • Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Confident using a range of IT and back-office systems (experience with Intelliflo/Intelligent Office preferred).
  • Strong analytical ability, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach.
  • Ideally Level 4 Diploma qualified, or near completion.

Basic salary to £48,000 plus discretionary bonus, private medical, income protection, pension etc.
