Overview

Paraplanning sits at the heart of everything we do - we’re looking for talented Paraplanners and Senior Paraplanners to help deliver outstanding financial advice.

Our paraplanners are a vital part of the team at Niche, supporting our financial advisers to deliver consistently high-quality advice and exceptional client service.

You’ll play a key role across all stages of the financial planning journey - from technical research and report writing through to client interaction and adviser support. Whether you’re attending client meetings or analysing complex product and investment documentation, no two days will be the same.

More than that, you’ll be joining Chartered Financial Planners that have been consistently voted one of the UK’s best financial advice firms to work for.

This is a varied, stimulating, and pivotal position within the business. Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities will include some or all of the following:

• Assisting with all aspects of the financial planning process
• Producing high-quality suitability reports and supporting documentation
• Researching and analysing products, investments, and planning strategies
• Supporting advisers before, during, and after client meetings
• Dealing with clients by phone and, where appropriate, face-to-face
• Maintaining accurate client records across our back-office and CRM systems
• Preparing and maintaining client files in line with regulatory requirements

Senior Paraplanners will also typically:

• Take ownership of more complex cases and planning scenarios
• Act as a technical reference point for advisers and junior paraplanners
• Review work produced by others and help maintain quality standards
• Support the development and mentoring of less experienced team members

We’re open to candidates at different stages of their paraplanning career. You may be earlier on your journey, or already operating at a senior technical level.

To be suitable for this role, you will need:

• A degree in a relevant subject such as Accountancy or Finance(preferred)
• Strong IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
• A high level of attention to detail and a professional, client-focused approach

For Senior Paraplanner roles, we would additionally expect:

• Significant paraplanning experience within a regulated advice firm
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection, and broader financial planning
• The confidence to handle complex cases with minimal supervision

£25,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience
