Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail‑oriented Tax Manager specialising in Trusts to join our client's Cardiff office. The successful candidate will manage and oversee trust tax compliance and advisory matters to deliver exceptional service to clients.

• Manage the tax compliance process for a portfolio of trust clients, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Provide expert tax advisory services on trust‑related matters to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities for trust clients in alignment with current regulations.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Tax department to deliver integrated services.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and meetings.
• Assist in the development and mentoring of junior team members within the Tax department.
• Stay updated on legislative changes in trust taxation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Support the business in achieving its overall goals and objectives through effective tax management and client service.

• A professional qualification in tax or accountancy (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in trust taxation within professional services.
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and deliver to deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Proficiency in relevant tax software and strong analytical skills.
• A proactive attitude with a focus on providing innovative tax solutions.
