We are looking for an experienced Senior Civils Technician to join a growing Cardiff office. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well-established civil and structural engineering consultancy delivering infrastructure solutions for a wide range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
You will play a key role in the technical delivery of highways and drainage designs, working closely with engineers and project teams to produce high-quality drawings and models across a variety of development projects.
The Role
As a Senior Civils Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating detailed technical drawings and 3D models for highways and drainage infrastructure. You will also support project teams in delivering schemes from early concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities
Produce highways and drainage drawings for development infrastructure projects
Prepare detailed layouts, levels, and construction details
Develop 3D models and designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Assist with the preparation of drawings for Section 38, Section 278, and drainage approvals
Work closely with engineers to develop design solutions
Coordinate with architects, developers, and external consultants
Support and guide junior technicians where required
About You
Significant experience in a civils technician role within a consultancy environment
Strong experience in highways and drainage design for development projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Good understanding of UK highway and drainage design standards
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Good communication and team collaboration skills
