The Opportunity

Are you a Quantity Surveyor or Project QS looking to build your career on a long-term infrastructure framework? We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor/Project Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well‑established infrastructure contractor delivering a Waste Water Capital Delivery framework across South Wales. Based in Cardiff, this role offers stability, long‑term secured work and the opportunity to develop within a high‑performing commercial team.

  • Report into a Managing QS and Senior QS
  • Manage your own packages or smaller schemes within the framework
  • Support the commercial delivery of waste water capital projects
  • Gain strong exposure to NEC contracts (Options A &

    C)

Projects typically include treatment works upgrades, network improvements and associated civil engineering schemes delivered within a collaborative framework environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Subcontract procurement and administration
  • Management of Compensation Events under NEC
  • Cost value reconciliation (CVR) and forecasting
  • Change control and risk management
  • Valuations, variations and final accounts
  • Supporting senior commercial staff with reporting and client liaison

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to strengthen their NEC knowledge and gain broader commercial responsibility.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience as a QS or Project QS within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Experience managing variations and cost reporting
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred)
  • Ambition to progress to Senior QS
  • Framework or utilities experience is advantageous but not essential
