Job Description Summary
GE Aerospace Wales is seeking a Technical Training Leader to manage a team of Training Facilitators/Assessors and oversee the delivery of practical and knowledge-based training within the Training Academy. The role involves designing, developing and delivering comprehensive technical training programs that meet business and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement and aligning with GE Aerospace FLIGHT DECK operating principles. The Technical Training Leader will also ensure the effective maintenance of the Training Academy’s infrastructure and equipment.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
Lead, coach and develop a team of Training Facilitators/Assessors fostering collaboration and high performance. - Training Development:
Create and implement technical training programmes aligned with business needs and regulatory standards. - Delivery and Assessment:
Oversee training delivery, evaluate effectiveness and ensure robust assessment processes. - Continuous Improvement:
Apply FLIGHT DECK principles to optimise training processes and outcomes. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and alignment with organisational priorities. - Data‑Driven Insights:
Monitor training metrics, report outcomes and drive improvements based on data analysis. - Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all training activities adhere to GE Aerospace Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC) priorities.
- Respect for People:
Build an inclusive collaborative environment. - Continuous Improvement:
Drive innovation and process optimisation. - Customer Driven:
Align training with customer and business needs. - Unyielding Integrity:
Ensure ethical and regulatory compliance.
- Strong Technical background – Degree (or equivalent experience level) in Engineering or Quality.
- Experience in technical training, ideally in aerospace or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of the EASA Part 145 regulatory system.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in process improvement and data‑driven decision‑making.
