We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in CF24, Cardiff
. This role focuses on working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who require additional learning support
, helping them build confidence and access the curriculum.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with children and making a real difference to their progress and development
.
You will work alongside the class teacher and SENCo to support pupils who benefit from additional guidance throughout the school day.
Responsibilities- Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN/SEN)
- Delivering small group interventions such as phonics, reading and numeracy
- Providing 1:1 support for pupils with EHCPs or targeted learning plans
- Helping pupils stay engaged, focused and confident during lessons
- Adapting classroom activities to ensure pupils can access learning at their own pace
- Encouraging independence while providing the right level of support
- Building positive relationships to support both learning and emotional wellbeing
The school has a supportive and collaborative staff team and places a strong emphasis on creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can succeed.
Staff work closely together and Teaching Assistants play a key role in helping pupils reach their potential
