Monday–Friday | 8:30am–3:30pm (Term time only)

Pay: £93–£98 per day

Cardiff

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support primary‑aged pupils in schools across Cardiff. This role involves working closely with individual pupils who need additional support – including children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), behavioural and emotional needs, or learning difficulties. If you are patient, supportive, and passionate about helping children succeed, this could be an incredibly rewarding role.

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support during lessons
• Helping pupils stay engaged and focused with their learning
• Supporting social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and independence
• Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO to support learning goals
• Helping create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

• Have previously worked in a school, SEN provision, care setting, youth work, or support role supporting children or young people with additional behavioural or emotional needs
• Are comfortable providing close 1:1 support throughout the school day, including during lessons, transitions, and break times
• Understand that some days can be challenging, but are motivated by the opportunity to help a child make progress
• Can remain calm, resilient, and positive in challenging or high‑pressure situations
• Are passionate about helping pupils who need extra guidance, encouragement, and structure to succeed
