Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school in the Cardiff Bay area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping young learners thrive in a supportive and engaging classroom environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, provide one-to-one or small group assistance, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups
Assist with classroom preparation and learning activities
Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Support pupils with additional learning needs where required
Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and progress
Requirements
Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (preferred but not essential)
A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
