Cardiff and Vale College are looking for a Student Finance Officer to join our Student Service team. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the work of the Student Service Experience area. You will be primarily responsible for assisting to maintain a highly effective and responsive college student finance service. Providing impartial advice and guidance to all potential and current learners regarding financial support.
Additionally,You Will
- Promote and disseminate information available for Student Financial Support at Open Evenings, college events, or face to face drop-in sessions and pop-up workshops.
- Provide effective information, advice and guidance to all learners regarding the various financial support available to them
- Liaise with external providers as required to ensure learners are offered the most effective form of finance support
- Maintain up to date and accurate records pertaining to all aspects of student financial support including paymystudent
You will take ownership of areas of the student finance service and lead on the day-to-day operations of this service ensuring processes are efficient and all associated administrative records are accurately maintained.
Whilst the ability to speak Welsh is not essential for the role, we would love to hear from candidates who are fluent and can engage with learners through the medium of Welsh.
