salary: grade 4: fte annual salary (£25,583) plus special class allowance (£1,539) x 77.15% (prorated for working term time only).
hours: 32½ per week – term time only.
post start date: as soon as possible.

school: ysgol ty coch, tonteg, 7 miles north of cardiff and 4 miles south of pontypridd. Special school focused on learner‑centered values of respect, communication and enjoyment.
the governing body is seeking highly motivated teaching assistants to support teachers and pupils. A background of working in a school is an advantage but not essential.
responsibilities- engage with pupils with special educational needs.
- understand the importance of a high‑quality education for our pupils.

- be dedicated to improving the quality of life of all children and their families.
- learn how best to work with, play and teach children with additional learning needs.

- support pupils by assisting in personal care including feeding and changing.
- implement various strategies as instructed by the class teacher.
