Elementa Support Services is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and forward-thinking independent school to recruit an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Maths. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive academic environment where high standards, small class sizes, and individual student progress are at the heart of everything.
This role offers the chance to inspire academically ambitious students, nurture intellectual curiosity, and promote confidence in mathematical reasoning from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.
About the Role- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations
- (Desirable) Teach A-Level Maths and/or Further Maths at KS5
- Differentiate effectively to stretch and challenge learners of varying abilities
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress with precision
- Contribute to enrichment opportunities, intervention sessions, or academic mentoring
- Support the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities where appropriate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for academic excellence
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience teaching Key Stage 5 (A-Level Maths or Further Maths)
- A proven track record of strong GCSE and/or A-Level outcomes
- Experience with in an independent or high-performing school setting
- A reflective, adaptable, and student-centred teaching approach
- Small class sizes and engaged, motivated learners
- A supportive and collaborative teaching environment
- Excellent facilities and resources
- A strong focus on academic achievement and personal development
