Teaching Personnel is looking for a committed SEN Support Assistant to work across a dynamic specialist SEN school in Cardiff
, supporting pupils aged 3-19

• Offering personalised 1:1 and small-group support
  , tailored to each pupil's individual needs
• Moving between classes and age groups with confidence and adaptability
• Using effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
• Assisting with personal care, mobility, and sensory regulation where required
• Encouraging emotional wellbeing, engagement, and independence
• Working closely with teachers and support staff to maintain a safe, consistent, and inclusive learning environment

• A calm, patient, and resilient mindset - essential in a school where routines and needs can change daily
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential but must be confident)
• Someone who thrives in a flexible, fast-paced SEN setting
  , adapting quickly to new challenges
• Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to safeguarding

• Must be 18 or over
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
• Level 2 Safeguarding training
• At least two professional references covering 24 months of employment
