Are you a reliable, hands‑on individual who takes pride in keeping school environments safe, clean, and well‑maintained?

Do you have experience working in a school or facilities management role? If so, Teacher Active has the perfect opportunity for you. We are currently recruiting a School Caretaker for a friendly and welcoming primary school in the Bridgend area. This is a temporary placement through Teacher Active, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and making a real difference in a school community.

• Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks around the school grounds and buildings
• Ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well‑presented at all times
• Opening and locking up the premises as required
• Assisting with setting up classrooms and school events
• Monitoring cleaning standards and reporting any health & safety concerns

• Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, or site management role (school experience desirable)
• A practical, proactive attitude with good problem‑solving skills
• Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures
• Reliability, good communication, and the ability to work independently
• An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through Teacher Active)
