Teaching Assistant - Cardiff Primary School (Full-Time)

We are recruiting an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Cardiff primary school on a full-time, temporary contract until July. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified support staff who are committed to making a real difference in children's learning and development.

• Job Title: Teaching Assistant

• Location: Primary School in Cardiff

• Pay: £95 per day

• Contract: Temporary (until July)

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

• Start Date: 23/02/2026

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (school-based experience essential)

• Relevant qualifications (Makaton, Team Teach, or similar desirable)

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)

• Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude

Working in Cardiff, you will support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. You will be confident in managing classroom behaviour, supporting SEN needs, and adapting to different learning styles.
