The British School of Lisbon (BSL) is seeking a passionate, dedicated and highly motivated qualified Lead Spanish (& Portuguese) Teacher to join our team in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious and forward-thinking school with a truly international community.

BSL is a vibrant, world-class institution that prides itself on offering a holistic education. We believe in empowering every student to embrace their individuality while cultivating a love of learning and a strong foundation in values that last a lifetime.

Our ethos combines the best of a traditional British education with a modern, forward-looking approach. While we maintain high standards of discipline and formal practices, we also embrace innovative teaching methods and cutting‑edge technology to create a dynamic, engaging learning environment.

The British School of Lisbon (BSL) was established in 2019 by The Schools Trust, a UK-based governance body responsible for founding 15 prominent British schools worldwide. In 2026, BSL joined Dukes Education, a leading family of high-quality schools and education services. The Schools Trust continues to remain a partner in the school.

Being part of Dukes Education means that BSL is connected to a wider family of schools, where staff can collaborate with and draw on the expertise of a highly talented network of peers and specialists. Dukes Education invests heavily in staff training and development through high-quality programmes designed and delivered by the Dukes team. Students also benefit from new opportunities and an enriched educational experience.
