Teacher Active is working with a welcoming Welsh-medium secondary school in Cardiff to recruit a Welsh-speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This is an excellent opportunity to work in a school where the Welsh language is used and celebrated daily, and where your support will make a genuine difference to pupils who need additional help in the classroom.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in education support, ALN, SEN, or youth work, who enjoy working with KS3 and KS4 pupils in a positive, inclusive environment.

Learning Support Assistant Role – Welsh Medium School

As a Welsh-Speaking Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Support pupils during lessons to help them stay focused and engaged
Provide 1:1 support for pupils who need extra guidance
Assist small groups within the classroom
Help pupils understand their work and build confidence
Offer calm, reassuring, and positive support throughout the school day
Work closely with teachers and support staff as part of a friendly school team
You will not be expected to plan lessons or teach — your role is to support learning and wellbeing.

Requirements – Welsh Speaking LSA

Have experience supporting children or young people (school or similar setting)
