About the role:

• Location – Cardiff
• Pay – £89.38
• Hours – Usually between 8:30‑3:30
• Start Date – ASAP (Pending Vetting Requirements)

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit PGCE/Final Year Students to work across a range of Primary Schools in the Cardiff area. This role offers aspiring teachers the chance to gain experience and build confidence before the start of the academic year.

The ideal candidate will be ambitious and hardworking, adaptable, and willing to work across a range of classes and age groups. They must develop professional relationships with children and staff to support pupils’ progress, provide general classroom support, and assist small groups of children with learning. Some schools may offer final year students the opportunity to work as an unqualified teacher, requiring confidence in leading the class effectively and a good knowledge of the school’s curriculum.

The school will provide continuous support and feedback, with the possibility to extend positions into the new Academic Year.

• Enhanced DBS (child only) checks must be complete before the role commences.
• EWC registration – mandatory in Wales.
• Two references from PGCE placements.

Successful candidates will receive regular support from a consultant who is an expert in the Cardiff area. They will manage their own diary and provide availability for tailored assignments. Free or discounted courses on our website are available to support professional development.
