Overview

Wales/ temporary / £13.69 per hour. Teacher Active is proud to be working with an ALN school in Cardiff, supporting recruitment for an ALN Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The setting focuses on pupil development and aims to help progress academically and in emotional, social and behavioural skills.

The school is seeking a passionate team player for a short-term role, with potential to become a long-term placement for the right ALN LSA. The successful candidate will bring a fresh perspective and skill set, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to children’s individual needs, and have a positive impact on the wider school community.

The position will involve working with students across all Key Stages with diagnoses including Autism/ASD, SLD/Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker who can take control of situations confidently is necessary.

The ALN LSA will:

• Work with students across all Key Stages with Autism/ASD, SLD and challenging behaviours
• Support individual and group learning activities to meet pupil needs
• Assist with behaviour support and developing social, emotional and behavioural skills
• Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to monitor progress

• Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
• Experience working with students/service users with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
• Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent

Our staff are paid on a PAYE basis to ensure the correct tax and National Insurance are paid, with no admin charges deducted from pay.
