We are a teaching health board with close links to Cardiff University. The University boasts a high profile teaching, research and development role within the UK and abroad. Together we are training the next generation of medical professionals.
References will be required to cover a minimum of three years of previous employment /training. Will need to have NHS experience or equivalent.

Main duties of the jobThe successful candidates will be based at the University Hospital of Wales and will participate in the junior doctor on-call rota , Research, Theatres, clinics at the University Hospital of Wales. Trauma services are provided at the University Hospital of Wales and at University Hospital Llandough.
Elective orthopaedic services are provided at the University Hospital Llandough.

Person Specification Qualifications- MBBS or equivalent
- ATL Provider
- FRCS/MRCS
- Current GMC Registration with Full License to Practice
- MSc or PHD
- Intercalated Degree
- FRCS (T&O)
- Evidence of completion of basic surgical training
- Evidence of middle grade experience in T&O
- Specialist training experience leading to FRCS (Trauma)
- Basic and Advanced Trauma Courses
- Evidence of previous experience in Trauma surgery
- Up to date with current medical practices

- Experience in plastic surgery, Neurosurgery and Intensive Care
