Production Apprenticeship - Level 3 - Radio Wales EXTEND

This role is advertised as part of the BBC Extend programme, a special scheme for people who are deaf, disabled or neurodivergent. BBC Radio Wales is the national English‑language radio station for Wales, producing 140 hours of output a week. Working as a production apprentice gives you the opportunity to understand how content is made and delivered, from live radio to drama. You will gain a recognised Level 3 apprenticeship qualification, while contributing to real productions and expanding your skill set.

• Prepare live and pre‑recorded programmes in studio and on location.
• Develop research and production skills.
• Provide comprehensive support for all aspects of programme production.
• Create multi‑platform content across all Radio Wales programmes.

• Be 18 years old or older when the apprenticeship starts in September 2026.
• Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years.
• Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the entire apprenticeship period.
• Not currently enrolled in another apprenticeship programme.
• No prior learning required to apply.
• Identify as disabled under the Equality Act (2010).
