An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor on a major, high-profile construction project in Cardiff.

As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager and Senior Site Team in delivering a complex, multi-million-pound construction project to the highest standards of quality, safety, and programme performance.

You will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, maintaining site standards, and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently.

• Supporting the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the site
• Supervising subcontractors and direct labour on site
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme and quality standards
• Maintaining strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations
• Conducting inductions, toolbox talks, and site inspections
• Assisting with progress reporting and coordination meetings
• Ensuring high standards of housekeeping and compliance

• Experience working for a main contractor in an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor capacity
• Experience on large-scale commercial, mixed-use, or complex build projects
• Strong understanding of construction processes and sequencing
• SMSTS or SSSTS (SMSTS preferred)
• CSCS Card (Black or Gold preferred)
• First Aid at Work (desirable)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
