Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a rewarding client-side role? This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking local council team and play a key part in delivering projects that make a real difference to the community.
About the RoleAs the council’s stand‑alone Quantity Surveyor, you’ll oversee a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from £200 to £10 million, including schools, council buildings, and community facilities. Ensure the effective delivery of quantity surveying services across a range of building projects by providing technical support for feasibility, assessment, and design, managing risks, finances, and maintaining high standards of quality, timeliness, and budget compliance.
Commission external services where required, advise on contract forms.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Salary: £45,000 – £48,000
- Hybrid & Flexible Working:
Including up to 2 days TOIL per month - Generous Annual Leave: 28 days + bank holidays, rising to 35 days after 5 years
