Commutable to Cardiff

Remuneration: £50,000 – £70,000 (DOE) + discretionary bonus

The role of the Quantity Surveyor Glazing & Aluminium Facade Systems will involve:

• Complete design, manufacture and installation service for curtain walling, windows, doors and facades
• Attending pre-contract meetings with Main Contractors to gain understanding of projects and identifying items to raise
• Review contract documentation and negotiate terms with clients
• Issue monthly valuations for projects to Main Contractors, where possible by visiting site to build/enhance relationships
• Qualify and approve suppliers and sub-contractors to maintain high-quality standards
• Preparation and management of installation sub-contractor packages from contracts to payment notices/certificates
• Reporting to the Commercial Director including providing information for reporting to the Board of Directors
• Working on projects ranging in value from £250k to £2m

• Must have 3+ years Quantity Surveyor experience within the glazing or aluminium facades market sector
• Ideal experience with curtain walling, glazing, facades, entrances, shop fronts, roofs, atriums, internal glass, sliding doors, balustrades & canopies
• Outgoing character, integral part of the team
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Effective time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
