Regional Deputy – Ethics & Integrity is responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the Ethics and Integrity program in the region. This includes the implementation of the Code of Conduct and key Ethics & Integrity controls, training, policy and procedure development, internal investigations and controls monitoring, third‑party vetting, controls auditing, risk management, organisational conflicts of interest management and other tasks.

They will report to the Senior Regional Ethics & Integrity Officer for WSP UK & Ireland.

A Little More About Your Role…
  • At the direction of the Senior Regional Ethics & Integrity Officer, support the development and implementation of the regional ethics & integrity program.
  • Embed pertinent ethics & integrity content in the various business communities (e.g., Early Career Professionals, PANs, country team networks) and processes (e.g., new opportunity evaluations, new project manager trainings, new staff onboardings).
  • In coordination with regional and global ethics teams, input towards annual policy reviews and ensure they are properly communicated and respected.
  • Co‑ordinate with India‑based ethics team and the compliance of UK and Ireland region, with key metrics, and monitoring compliance with ethics & integrity procedures and processes (e.g., Due Diligence, Personal Conflicts, Gifts and Entertainment and Project Opportunity vetting); provide continuous feedback on same.
  • Lead or participate in Global Ethics Initiatives as they are identified.
  • Help embed ethics in the broader corporate culture by working with other related functions to facilitate the smooth integration/coordination of ethics & integrity controls into existing corporate systems and processes, simplify systems where possible and look for opportunities for joint exercises and communications.
  • Support and develop ethics risk assessment activities and risk reviews, for both ongoing operations and acquisitions.
  • Co‑ordinate with the India based ethics team and the Regional Ethics Officers, the implementation and tracking of ethics & integrity training initiatives, including anti‑corruption, fair competition and fraud training.
  • Conduct and report on internal investigations.
  • Conduct project‑specific integrity reviews and provide risk‑based recommendations/advice to the business on project risk.
  • Analyse Organisational Conflict situations, draft and advise on appropriate mitigation plans and how to embed them in the projects.
  • Support maintenance of internal regional ethics & integrity webpages.
  • Ensure that ethics inquiries from WSP personnel are answered promptly and pertinently.
  • Other duties, relevant to the position, may be assigned as required.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…
  • Either relevant business, risk management or legal qualifications (e.g., LLB, CFE or equivalent) or Ethics & Compliance qualifications (e.g., degree in a field related to business ethics, CCEP or similar designation).
  • Significant professional experience in identifying and managing organisational conflicts of interest and/or.
  • Experience of Public Procurement rules and regulations and their application in practice.
  • Experience working in the field of ethics and compliance, in‑house, will be an asset.
  • Understanding and familiarity with data analytics and core corporate systems will be a strong asset.
  • Substantial knowledge of anti‑corruption, anti‑fraud and competition legislation.
  • Organisational skills, attention to detail, record keeping and ability to handle fast‑paced multitasking environment with time‑sensitive workloads.
