DescriptionSumer is on a mission to redefine professional services and we’re looking for a Head of Product to lead the charge. This is a unique opportunity to design, build, and scale a cohesive, group-wide product engine that will shape how clients interact with Sumer today, and in the future.
The successful candidate will lead Group product strategy, standardise and scale products across hubs, secure key commercial partnerships, and launch high-value subscription offerings. Building a scalable product engine and client portal that drives sustained EBITDA growth, stronger margins, and improved client engagement and retention.
As a senior leader, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of the products and services that matter most to our clients – ensuring they’re delivered consistently, priced strategically, and scaled seamlessly across the business. This includes:
- Designing group-wide product frameworks and minimum standards, ensuring adoption across all hubs
- Selecting and contracting group-preferred commercial partners (software vendors, insurers, subscription services)
- Owning the group-level product proposition, positioning, and commercial logic
- Delivering measurable revenue and EBITDA outcomes linked to product performance
You’ll combine strategic vision with hands‑on delivery, balancing immediately wins with long-term innovation. A key focus will be evolving our best‑in‑class Sumer Client Portal, giving clients access to tailored products, insights, and services powered by Sumer’s data and expertise.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Architecture
- Define Sumer’s product vision and roadmap across priority client segments (Micro, Small and Medium)
- Identify opportunities to standardise, scale and commercialise existing products sold across hubs
- Design new, value‑adding product propositions where there is a clear client need and economic rationale
- Lead the selection and management of group‑preferred partners (software, insurance, service providers etc.)
- Negotiate group‑wide commercial terms to unlock scale economics and margin improvement
- Ensure commercial arrangements are simple, transparent and clearly linked to client value
- Own a product‑led value creation plan with clear revenue and EBITDA creation
- Track penetration, margin and performance across the product portfolio
- Work closely with Finance to ensure benefits are measurable, defensible and sustainable
- Define the long‑term vision for the Sumer Client Portal as the primary interface for products, insights and services
- Work with Technology, Data and Service Lines to shape portal requirements and sequencing
- Ensure early product decisions are consistent with the long‑term platform destination
- Work closely with hubs, service lines, Marketing and Growth teams to drive adoption
- Create clear standards, playbooks and commercial guidance for partners and client‑facing teams
- Act as a centre of expertise for product thinking across the Group
- Senior commercial or product leadership experience in a complex, multi‑site or platform business
- A strong understanding of pricing, margin and value creation mechanics
- Experience with partnerships, subscriptions or recurring‑revenue models
- The credibility to operate at executive level and influence senior stakeholders
- A pragmatic, maker’s mindset – able to design strategy and deliver execution
Experience in professional services, SaaS-enabled services, or PE-backed environments would be advantageous.
